How often do you mow?
Lawns are mowed weekly March through October and biweekly or as needed
in February and November. While we try to service your lawn on the
same day each week, there are situations that may alter the schedule
for that week (weather, mechanical problems, holidays). We do not
accept customers on a biweekly schedule but if there are times you
wish to skip a week, call or e-mail us the day before and there will
be no charge. All our mowing is done in sequence and usually cannot
be rescheduled for later in the week. However, we can always accommodate
your requests in the event of a party or special function.
What is your fertilizer program?
Our fertilizer program is based on Washington State University recommendations
for Western Washington. Fertilizer is applied 6 times per year every
6-8 weeks between February and September with an annual lime application
in November. Broadleaf weeds and crane flies are also treated at the
appropriate times. Good fertilizer programs are more than just applying
fertilizer to lawns; we also recognize and treat other problems such
as moss, red thread, and various turf grass diseases.
How is payment for services handled?
We bill monthly for our maintenance services. For Landscape installs,
beauty bark jobs, and big cleanups payment is due on completion. For
some of our larger jobs, half the balance is due prior to the scheduled
start date. Billing is done the last day of every month and payment
is due by the 15th. Currently we do not charge a late fee if your
bill is late however, we can stop services if payment exceeds 30 days
overdue. If we do a big clean up or beauty bark job payment is due
on completion. Currently we accept cash and checks as method of payment.
Are you licensed and insured?
For your protection, anyone working on your property should be licensed
and insured. In the event of an accident or injury to an unlicensed
or uninsured worker, the property owner may be held liable. Eastside
Land Care is licensed and insured and our employees are covered by
State Industrial Insurance.
